Consumer protection in the Netherlands and across the EU is genuinely good. A flight three hours late owes you a fixed amount. Money taken without a ground has to be given back. A subscription you cancelled cannot quietly roll on. Anything you buy carries two years of legal guarantee.

And almost none of it gets claimed.

Not because people don't care about the money. Because claiming is work.

You have to notice it happened at all.

Then find the email that proves it.

Then work out which rule applies, and whether you're still in time.

Then write to a company that is better at this than you are.

Then do it again when they don't reply.

So the money stays where it is. Not because anyone decided it should — because the effort to claim €42 is worth more than €42.

“I'll sort it at the weekend.”“It's only a few euros.”“I don't have the receipt.”“Is it even worth it?”

That gap — between the right you have and the effort it takes to use it — is the whole product.

What we decided at the start

Three things, and we've held them since.

We don't show you a claim we can't prove. Every opportunity names the article of law it rests on and quotes the email it came from. If there's no evidence, there's no card — even though a longer list would look better.

Nothing sends without your word. Pennny drafts; you approve. It leaves from your own mailbox and the reply comes back to you. Every reminder needs a fresh yes. We fingerprint what you approved and compare it to what goes out — one character different and it doesn't send.

We never touch your money. The company pays you, directly, into your own account. We invoice afterwards, and only on what actually arrived. No result, no invoice.

None of those are features. They're the constraints the product is built inside, and each one costs us something — a shorter list of opportunities, a slower loop, a fee we have to ask for rather than take.

We think they're what makes it worth trusting with a mailbox.

Where this goes

The five claim types we launch with are the ones where the law is clearest and the evidence is already in your inbox. Fines, insurance, price protection and the rest come after — each one only when we can prove it the same way.

The name is a joke about small amounts. The point isn't small: it's that the rights you already have should not require this much effort to use.
